Nick DiCeglie seeks flexibility, greater clarity in firefighter cancer benefits

One provision would clarify that qualifying sick firefighters don’t have to keep working to ensure their family receives a death benefit. Republican Sen. Nick DiCeglie has filed legislation that would expand certain health coverage options for former firefighters who develop cancer during their tenure or afterward.
